Request Data Deletion — Cloudling
Last updated: 18 October 2026
This page explains how to ask us to delete the data Cloudling holds about
you. Cloudling is a quit-tracking app for adults developed by Alex Pryce
(United Kingdom).
How to request deletion
- Open your email app and start a new message to
cloudlingapp@gmail.com.
- Use the subject line:
Delete my data.
- In the message, tell us the email address you entered in Cloudling, if
you entered one. If not, say so and describe when you used the app so we
can follow up to identify the relevant record. Do not send payment details.
- We will reply if we need more information to locate the record and will
handle the request within 30 days.
Tip: if you also want everything removed from your phone,
uninstall the Cloudling app after we confirm deletion. That removes the
on-device data described below.
What gets deleted
When you ask us to delete your data, we permanently remove the following
from our server:
- Your app-specific device identifier and the onboarding record linked to it.
- Onboarding details you sent us (usual daily puff count, target, taper
length, pod price, puffs per pod, currency, name, email, age, reason for
quitting, plan selection, trial start date, and purchase-flow status).
- Any in-app feedback you submitted, including the IP address and
user-agent recorded with the feedback.
What is also removed when you uninstall the app
The following data is stored only on your phone, never on our server, and is
removed when you uninstall Cloudling (or clear its app data):
- Your daily puff log.
- Your settings, preferences, and saved sound choices.
- Notification and alarm settings.
Uninstalling the app does not delete information already submitted to our
server. Purchases are managed by Google Play or Apple's App Store and
RevenueCat; contact those providers separately about purchase records they
hold.
